This sounds like a practice tape recorded by the band on a boombox or something. They play some originals and a VASELINES cover. The tape was dubbed for me by my friend Sarah T (she also took the pic of them playing at Mission Records below). Enjoy.

If you think I'm full of shit and this is your favorite band ever, please feel free to tell your own story about them in the comments. I'm sure it's good.
Oh yeah, almost forgot...this was obviously recorded off of a CD and it has a couple little skips in it. It's not too bad though....I think it's only in "78666".

Everyone has their own Opinions...so you're not full of shit...however, this IS one of my Favorite bands ever, and one of the many reasons is everyone in this band's unmatchable pop sensibilities, their abilities to make you smile, cry, mourn, rejoice....everyone individually in this band could do that on their own, and it was one of the few 'supergroups' that acually went above and beyond that title...I love this band, and I miss this band. Miss you Matty....-Nick.
I would also clarify in regards to my own cited comments:
Like the 50 Million Double LP that never materialized, its worth noting that this effort was a sincere effort by old friends to play music and make something cool together in a time where they were perhaps personally challenged in other ways.
I would also like to clarify that I skimmed through the music while writing this entry. Listening to it more today, I realize that with my distance now from that era, this sounds a lot better to me than it used to. Also, the between song banter is really sweet and documents some friends that truly cared about each other amid all the turmoil.
This tape is a practice, and these songs almost always sounded much better than this- worth mentioning.
thanks for posting it though, flashbacks galore -Shell
UNBELIEVABLE.
I've been wanting to hear a recording from this project (which i knew must have existed) ever since the show that is pictured above at Mission Records (or at least it was a show at Mission Records where I saw them). Actually, my old band played the show, along with Sharp Knife and the Bananas. Will Risk booked it.
It's true, they weren't the greatest band (having seen the projects from these folks before this as i was cutting my teeth on this scene) but somehow the line from this band, "I don't care about the Buzzcocks," and the tune it went to - had stayed with me as memorable all these years of never hearing it apart from that one time live. And yet, now this finally comes out of the vault, and that is the EXACT LINE where the skips are!!!!! ARGH!

File blocked? What happened there?
mediafire is insane? I will check it out later.
nevermind...I just downloaded it and it worked okay.
Figured it out - I had to drop 'download.php' from the link...
Thanks for checking that for me.
Just saw someone posted "miss you,,matty", I have been looking for that guy for years...I hope it doesn't mean what I think it means...
Any (remote)ha chance of a reupload or something of the like? The mediafire link does not seem to be working for me. I could of course be doing something wrong but I couldnt get it figured out. Any help would be much appreciated!
It;s re-upped. Thanks.
Does anyone out there have that Faggz tape? I had it but it got lost somewhere in the shuffle of multiple moves. It was so good and I really wish I could still listen to it. It was one of my favorite recordings from this era. I remember seeing Fuckface and the Faggz play at Gilman and it was hands down one of the best shows I ever went to.
