Sorry, You can find the whole album on youtube, but I'm not sure of how to download it. It's one of the best, obviously. I passed it on to a friend of mine who I thought would appreciate it and he had this to say:<br />"listening to this on headphones makes me feel normal while walking around outside in a robe."<br />Which I think is probably the most succinct description of this music I could imagine.Slice Harvesterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18379817550845956364noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6975467493408447095.post-43433498527575588822012-01-04T16:19:16.112-08:002012-01-04T16:19:16.112-08:00Thanks, man. I don't really know what "tardcore" is, but I've always thought of the Fred Lane (and associated members) trajectory as something more in line with Dada, improvisation, experimental, and fucked up jazz, especially considering the directions that the players went in following these records. I've never really considered any of this to be comedy except for "Radio Car Jerome", which isn't that great of a record anyway. It seems like the "grandparents" of that sound might be something closer to Alberto Y Lost Trios Paranoias, The Fugs, or other stuff that I have no real knowledge of...anyway, that's what I think. Also, I don't care if it's readily available on the internet. I don't do this to put up the most obscure shit. I have nothing to prove in the record collector jerk dept.Harvesterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03763325739577353118noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6975467493408447095.post-88219058041291197682011-12-29T13:24:38.428-08:002011-12-29T13:24:38.428-08:00"French Toast Man" ,is probably the firs..."French Toast Man" ,is probably the first tardcore/comedy classic ,ever recorded. I may be doing a history of tardcore compilation in the future, and Fred Lane would definitely be announced as the grandfather of the tardcore scene!I've had this for years ,and I think "Powdered Toast Man" ,from the old Ren & Stimpy cartoons ,is most likely a rip-off/homage to Fred Lane. Nice historical read ,here. Thanks for posting this (altho it is readily available around the web!) for folks who never heard it. Life-changing ,as you previously stated!G O Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13057736939790370437noreply@blogger.com
